Horses » Natural care and social contact
The horses live in as natural conditions as possible
  • this promotes a well-balanced physical, emotional, and social development
  • so that they may retain their relational qualities as well as their ability to mirror man.

The whole year long, they live outside in the pastures, which are furnished with field shelters. In winter their diet is supplemented with hay. The pastures have been thoughtfully laid out to allow maximum exercise and exploration (Paddock Paradise). They have been sown with bio grass, herbs, and a variety of native shrubs and trees. This provides the horses with a natural food source. There are natural ponds where the horses can drink and bathe. Their hooves are naturally trimmed.

Both groundwork and riding is developed through leadership as well as contact and connection with the horse. Forcible means are not used. The horses are mainly ridden bitless.
